Greetings poured in from all corners of the world for Prime Minister Narendra Modi who turns 70 today. The country is celebrating ‘Seva Saptah’ in honour of the great man, who rightly calls himself as the ‘Pradhan Sewak’. Sulabh International Centre for Action Sociology organised a cleanliness campaign and health awareness event in JJ Colony at Sector 1, Dwarka.
A small crowd gathered, while maintaining social distancing. The ‘Pradhan’ of the JJ colony joined the group enthusiastically. As a token of the social work being done by Sulabh International under the leadership of Dr Bindshwar Pathak, face masks and sanitary pads were distributed. Cloth bags were given out, particularly, to those who brought used single use plastics.
An oath was administered which listed cleanliness and hygiene, maintaining social distancing, wearing face mask, avoiding single use plastics, such as carry bags, conserving water, working towards educating the uneducated and above all, working to make India self-reliant in the true sense.
