Sulabh Sanitation Club Meets Indian Ambassador to Nepal to Advance School Sanitation Initiatives

On 12 June, 2025, members of the Sulabh Sanitation Club met with H.E. Shri Naveen Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Nepal, at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu. The team presented the Club’s ongoing sanitation initiatives in schools across Lumbini Province, along with community outreach programs promoting hygiene awareness and behavior change among women’s groups.

Also present at the meeting was Ms. Garima Nautiyal, Second Secretary, Development Partnership. The Ambassador lauded the team’s efforts in improving sanitation and public health and encouraged them to scale up their initiatives across Lumbini and beyond. He also emphasized the need for stronger collaboration with Lumbini Nagar Palika to integrate Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) into the Club’s outreach activities.

Sulabh Sanitation Club reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening School WASH programs across Nepal, with a vision of empowering students and communities through better sanitation and hygiene. The continued support of the Embassy of India to Nepal remains instrumental in advancing this mission.
