Lumbini Students Lead the WASH Movement
The Sulabh Sanitation Club conducted an impactful workshop titled "Accelerating WASH and Sustainable Practices" at Shree Madhubani High School, Mahilwar, in the Lumbini region of Nepal. This full-day program brought together over 120 students and 12 teachers from local schools to champion hygiene, sanitation, and eco-friendly practices.
Through interactive sessions, group activities, and real-life case studies, the workshop empowered participants to:
-
Promote safe hygiene behaviors
-
Encourage sustainable water and waste management
-
Lead as youth ambassadors for hygiene and environmental care
These hands-on learning experiences are part of Sulabh’s ongoing efforts to reduce school absenteeism, improve health outcomes, and nurture a generation of environmentally responsible citizens.
This initiative was supported by the B. P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation, whose commitment to strengthening education and community development has been instrumental in fostering grassroots change across the region.
