Inauguration of Period-Friendly Toilet at Pema Tseduen Government Secondary School, Rongli, Sikkim

A landmark moment for menstrual health and dignity was celebrated at Pema Tseduen Government Secondary School, Rongli, Pakyong District, Sikkim, with the inauguration of a new period-friendly toilet facility. The initiative was implemented by the Sulabh Sanitation Club, with the generous support of SFA Group, France.

 

This project marks a crucial step towards creating a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students, particularly adolescent girls. By addressing menstrual hygiene needs within school infrastructure, the initiative ensures that no student’s education is disrupted due to inadequate sanitation facilities.
